Dark Hour Haunted House
Our first stop on the Things to do In Plano in December is the Dark Hour Haunted House. If you thought haunted houses were only for Halloween, you are wrong, the Dark Hour Haunted House offers year-round amusement for those who are brave enough to enter it, and this Holiday Season, they have come up a terrifying tale of toys coming to life and teaming up with evil elves who wage war against Krampus and his elves. Tickets go on sale this Friday, December 15th.
Interurban Railway Museum
The history professor in you will love to visit Plano in December! Did you know that Plano had electric rails back in 1908? If you want to take a tour through Car 360, you just need to hop on down to the Interurban Railway Museum housed in the original building Texas Electric Railway substation in Plano. This interactive museum is a little gem, as it not only teaches us about the history of train transportation in Texas it also offers exhibits of the history of Plano.
Downtown Plano Arts District
The historic district of the city is in our opinion one of the most beautiful parts of the city. We are not the only ones that admire this unique eclectic downtown as it was recently added to the National Register of Historic Places. The Downtown Plano Arts District is lined with antique shops, one-of-a-kind boutiques, handmade jewelry shops, urban dining, theaters, art galleries, and outdoor cultural events like concerts. - The Shops at Legacy is another one of our favorites, this urban development, offers unique shops, exclusive boutiques, cozy cafes, and some of the finest restaurants in the area.
- Dallas Vintage Shop While the shopping centers offer more traditional shopping options, sometimes we are in need of a special gift for that one person in our lives who seems to march to the beat of their own drums, and we found the perfect spot, the Dallas Vintage Shop.This megastore is a combination of a vintage clothing store and a theater prop shop. You can find period costumes from the 1900’s to the present time, and the list of accessories is infinite.

Their public skating program offers figure skating and hockey lessons for kids and adults, making it a perfect family activity. What is more festive than ice skating in Plano in December?
